Call for Papers: Special Issue on “Evolving Practice Education in Social Work: 21st Century Trends and Health Care Contexts"

Practice Education in Social Work Context in the 21st Century: Mapping Trends and Process in Health Care Settings refers to a comprehensive examination of how social work education, particularly the practical training component, is evolving in the context of healthcare settings in the 21st century. It looks at both the current trends and the processes involved in preparing social workers to meet the needs of patients and healthcare systems.
The Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work is pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to exploring innovative research, interventions, and policies in training the social work students for the emerging demands in health care settings.
Scope and Objectives
This special issue aims to showcase the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of practice education and training for students in health care settings. We invite submissions on the following themes:
1. Social work educators and Practitioners encounter within the multidisciplinary team in health settings.
2. Effectiveness of Health social workers in Community health projects in India
3. Inclusion of mental health social workers in decision making and holistic rehabilitation plans for mental health service users.
4. Health social workers engagement in patients' medico- legal and ethical aspects in hospitals.
5. Mental Health and Health Social Work educator scope of alignment with practice context in health settings.
Submission Guidelines
We welcome researchers, clinicians, and policymakers to submit original research articles, reviews, case studies, and commentaries that align with the themes of this special issue. Submissions should follow the journal's standard guidelines for format and style.
Manuscript Submission Deadline: 30th October 2024
Notification of Acceptance: 30th November 2024
Expected Publication Date: January 2025
Submission Process
Manuscript Preparation: Authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work's guidelines https://pswjournal.org/index.php/ijpsw/about/submissions
Online Submission: Submit your manuscript through our online submission system at https://pswjournal.org/index.php/ijpsw/about/submissions This is compulsory to enable a fast and transparent review process. New authors are required to register as authors, a simple two-step procedure. For online submission, articles should be prepared in two files: a first-page file (cover letter) and an article file with the abstract. To ensure blind review, please remove author information from the manuscript file and include it only in the separate first-page file during submission.
Cover Letter: Include a cover letter stating that the submission is for the special issue on Behavioural Addiction Prevention and Treatment and briefly describe how the manuscript fits within the scope of the issue.
Use of AI Tools: The use of AI tools to generate ideas is prohibited. However, using AI to enhance the grammar and readability of the authors' original work is allowed. Please declare and fully describe any use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in any aspects of your research in your submission to the IJPSW. Include this information before the reference section.
Reference Style: The journal follows the Vancouver reference style, which must be adhered to. References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. Identify references in the text, tables, and legends by Arabic numerals in superscript within square brackets ([.]) after full stops or commas.
Conflicting Interests: Please ensure that a "Declaration of Conflicting Interests" statement is included at the end of your manuscript, following any acknowledgements and preceding the references. If no conflict exists, please state that "The Author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest".
Ethical consideration: Mention of ethical committee approval status for research papers, included at the end of your manuscript, following any acknowledgements and preceding the references.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality research. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers and the guest editor.
