About the Journal

The Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, indexed journal that primarily publishes original articles relevant to social work practice in the mental health and health fields, including Clinical Social Work and Psychiatric Social Work. Additionally, the journal features articles on contemporary clinical practices involving individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities from various disciplines, including clinical psychology, social psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitation, and behavioural sciences. It promotes multidisciplinary approaches in mental health and health, aiming to provide innovative theoretical frameworks, efficient practices, and evidence-based clinical research.

The Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work is committed to advancing the knowledge and insight of practitioners, educators, researchers, and policymakers in prevention, intervention (treatment), and rehabilitation.

Publication Frequency

The Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work publishes half yearly, January and July Issue.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global knowledge exchange.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. It permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism in any form will not be accepted and whenever plagiarism is detected in parts of a manuscript, we ask for the resubmission. If the author(s) submit a revised draft, we will send it again for peer review. If the entire manuscript is found to be plagiarized, we reject it and we will not entertain any resubmissions. The Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work checks for plagiarism using Google and the free online plagiarism checker tool, http://www.duplichecker.com.

Peer Review Process

All submissions, except editorials, will be screened by the editors for suitability and matching the journal policies and style.  If it is found suitable, submissions will be forwarded for peer review to two or more peer reviewers blind peer review. After receiving the reviewers' comments editor will communicate with the corresponding author about the decision. The author may be asked to review or rewrite the part or the whole submission. The editor reserves the right to reject the submission or decline publication without giving any reason.

The journal is not charging any submission, processing and publication fees or charges.    

Journal Sponsorship

The Indian Journal of Psychiatric Social Work is not sponsored by any organization/institute/agency. It's fully dependent on the subscriptions.
