Triple Talaq or Talaq-e-biddat is a form of ill practice and unapproved in Islam, still Indian followers of Islam use to pursue it. To prohibit this practice, Government of India has enacted a legislation called as Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act 2019, which neutralizes this ill form of divorce. But as per literature reviews, this practice is prevalent due to the lack of knowledge regarding actual procedure of divorce among Muslim community. So, there is a need to take a deep dive into it. The research paper aims to reveal the status of knowledge of Married Muslim males ranging age between 18-50 years regarding actual procedure of divorce as per the Quran among the Durg-Bhilai city of Chhattisgarh via stratified random sampling. The research say that majority of the respondents know only about one form of divorce i.e., Talaq-e-ahasan or Talaq-e-hasan with its full procedure and only half of the respondents know about the concept of meher. The profession of social work can help spread knowledge among the Muslim community through influential leaders.
